«Dreams of gamblers
We, gamblers, surely have some dreams. But what exactly do we dream of? Of course, most of us would say that we dream of becoming rich. It’s true, but only partially. There are some gamblers, who are rich, very rich, but still they don’t think that they are happy. So, much money is not enough for entire happiness.
So what else do we, gamblers, need for the full happiness? We’d like to tell you a story of a gambler, who couldn’t imagine his life without living on the extreme edge. He was a freelance writer and all the money he earned he spent on gambling, all kinds of it. At that moment his dreams were common and traditional – he wanted to have a happy family, good health and prosperity.
But his life changed greatly after the divorce with his wife. The gambler was trying to find his new happiness in South Florida and the Caribbean, and there he turned into a real and professional gambler, addicted to this lifestyle.
Actually not all gamblers are bad people. Of course, they can do some stupid things, which can be called bad, for example, cheating on their wives. That was the exact reason of the gambler’s divorce, now you know it.
While the gambler’s marriage failed, his gambling life and dreams were only prosperous. The gambler’s brother, a gambler too, dreams of getting some huge jackpot and getting rich. That’s not a bad dream, but we all should remember that the real life remains real and differs from the dreams.
So let’s come back to the main character of our story – to our gambler. He started inventing some innovative gambling systems and trying them in his games. For example, on horses he tried about a hundred of various gambling systems. He got support from his brother and they together are still trying to create the perfect system which will surely work.
Apart from hitting some crazy jackpot our gambler has another dream. This dream appeared when the gambler was driving to his favorite casino by luxurious mansions. Our gambler wants to live in such a mansion. To get his dream fulfilled he just needs to win some poker tournament or the World Series of Poker.
The gambler has already imagined every single detail of this mansion. What it will look like, what it will be made of, how many rooms it will have. He dreams to live in this mansion with his big and happy family, with his kids. But the problem is that the gambler’s dreams rapidly appear, change and disappear. That’s why it’s unlikely that he will ever fulfill any of his dreams.
So what’s the moral of the story? Stick to your dreams, never lose a sight of them and keep your eyes open to look for chances, that can help you fulfill all of your dreams.
